Abstract: | This study is an extension of the study reported at entry 0013. The authors previously reported that birth complications interact with early maternal rejection in predisposing individuals to violence at age 18 years. The follow-up period for violent offending was extended from 18 years to 34 years. The new findings indicate that the mechanisms underlying serious violence implicate very early factors and differ from those for less serious, late-onset violence. |
