Abstract: | The serum IgE concentration was measured in 146 men and 134 women born in Preston between 1935 and 1943, whose size at birth had been measured in details. Subjects with a high IgE concentration around age 50 (above 80 IU/ml) had had a larger head circumference at birth and a higher birth weight, but the same crown-heel length at birth. This indicate that in utero they had had disproportionate growth of the head in relation to the trunk and limbs. |
