Abstract: | A significant association was found between invasive haemophilus influenza infection and short duration (<13 weeks) of breast-feeding. For Hib onset of 12 months or older the association with short duration of breast-feeding was stronger. The risk decreased with each additional week of breastfeeding. The association persisted for months and years beyond the period of breastfeeding. |
